Location
Mantra Samui Resort is located on a lush hillside. You need to drive along a steep road leading to the resort. The road is narrow and dim at night, so please give extra attention while driving or riding a bike. Also within the resort, steep inclines are challenging and we think it is rather dangerous for kids and elderlies. However you don’t have to walk that much. The resort knows it well and they prepare buggy services to shuttle guests around. Buggy is just a phone call away!
There are pros and cons about the hillside location. The top advantage is surely the spectacular 180° ocean panoramic view of Koh Samui’s beautiful coastline. Honestly speaking, we don’t even mind to stay on sun deck to enjoy the view all day long. There is also no crowd or noise since the resort is on the hillside. We enjoy the peacefulness very much.
It is good that the resort is blessed with amazing ocean view but on the other hand, it also means that beaches are not within a few minutes walk. There are also no shops or eateries available nearby the resort. However fret not, Bophut town is just 7 minutes drive away. Enjoy the long white sand Bophut Beach, the water is calm on this side of the island which is perfect for swimming. Also, visiting the famous Fisherman’s Village is a must! There are many cafes and bars to hang out with friends as well as night market, boutiques and convenience stores for shopping. If you are looking for a vibrant island life, Chaweng is 20 minutes drive from Mantra Samui Resort. Get everything you need here from shopping in Central Festival Mall Samui, nice restaurants, best clubs and bar etc. It is the most happening area in Koh Samui.

Room
Mantra Samui Resort has three main room types: Wow, Love, and Suites. All rooms offer generous space and comes with a balcony, seating areas and large windows to allow maximum sunlight. We stayed in Wow room and enjoyed every bit of it.
The room interior is styled with contemporary elements, hardwood floors and furnishings. Standard amenities include Air-condition, Television, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities, mini fridge, and free bottled water. There is also a living space with couch and walk-in wardrobe. The room is so spacious and worth every single penny! Even the bathrooms are fitted with quality accessories like rainshower and wooden vanity. The resort also provides hairdryers, bathrobes, toiletries and their signature charcoal-based bath products which is super cool.
Facilities and Environment
Mantra Samui Resort is a stylish boutique resort perfect for couples and families. We are in love with the contemporary decor with artsy vibe. We feel at peace everyday surrounded by lush greeneries, fresh air and stunning ocean view.
Infinity Pool. This is the highlight of the resort. Suspended over the edge of a cliff and with no obstruction, the infinity pool has some of the best view overlooking the Gulf of Thailand and Bophut area. Our favourite thing to do in the resort is to grab a drink at the swim-up pool bar and enjoy the stunning view.
Jai Spa. Mantra Samui Resort is a great wellness retreat to rejuvenate yourself. This full-service spa offers traditional Thai beauty and massage treatments with natural products. Their experienced Thai therapists will ensure you enjoy the treatments in the most relaxing environment.
Fitness Centre. No matter you are a gym geek or purely wants to burn the extra calories you accumulated from the tasty Thai food. The resort’s fitness centre is there to satisfy your need to hit the gym during a vacation!
Work Lounge (Co-Working Space). Koh Samui’s first ever co-working space for the work nomads. Mantra Samui Resort has an air-conditioned work lounge with free Wi-Fi, Television, Books and comfortable Work Stations. We bet you can’t resist to working while enjoying amazing Samui’s coastline view in the working space #bestofficeview! This work lounge is open for both in-house guests and visitors.
Food and Beverages
Mantra Samui Resort features an all-day multi-cuisine restaurant next to the swimming pool. The restaurant offers extensive menu which consists of authentic Thai dishes and Western cuisine. Even though there is only a restaurant available in the resort, you can basically satisfy most of your cravings here. We love their breakfast! Other than buffet-style breakfast with a great variety of dishes, the restaurant also serves complimentary ala-carte breakfast menu (Sets of Continental Breakfast, American Breakfast and Thai Boat Noodles) and good espresso based coffee too! Enjoying a hearty breakfast with amazing ocean view is something we look forward waking up to every morning. What a perfect start to a wonderful day in Koh Samui!
Activities
Want to lounge around the pool or your room’s balcony all day? No problem. Feeling a little bored and would like to indulge in some activities? Mantra Samui Resort has got you covered. From wellness activities like Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, Qi Gong to poolside film screenings, and kids’ activities, there is no dull days in the resort!
Although being isolated from the main beach towns, Mantra Samui Resort has everything you need for a quiet getaway to rejuvenate yourself. It is perfect for “Want It All” type of travellers like us who crave tranquility but still not too far away from various conveniences. We truly enjoy our stay in Mantra Samui Resort and will for sure come back if we had the chance to visit Koh Samui again!
